At 72 years of age, Betsey Johnson is still the belle of the fashion week ball!
(New York, September 10th, 2014) American designer and renowned fashion icon Betsey Johnson returned to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week on Wednesday, September 10th to present her Spring / Summer 2015 collection. This season models, Real Housewives and drag queens took the plunge in Betsey’s debut collection line geared to brides of all orientations.
CAMILLE GRAMMER, CYNTHIA BAILEY and KRISTEN TAEKMAN of the Real Housewivesfranchise, transgender model ISIS KING, RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants SHARON NEEDLES(who donned the show’s closing gown) and WILLAM BELLI strutted their stuff, while the Betsey’s own Dancing with the Stars partner TONY DOVOLANI joined her for the finale.
The latest collection revealed a bevy of special occasion dresses in true Betsey style; mint green metallic and rainbow party frocks, playful lingerie, cage skirts, floral baby dolls and a tuxedo-style body suit.
Rounding out the collection were bow adorned heel, chunky platforms, peep-toe lace booties and floral flats from the Betsey Blue collection. The Betsey Blue collection is Betsey’s bridal footwear offering, currently available for purchase on Betseyjohnson.com. Finishing touches included giant crystal chokers spelling out the work PRENUP, bouquet shaped handbags and fishnet thigh highs.
