Votre Vu Raises $25,000 for Childhood Cancer Research through ‘Color it Forward’ Program

Program Benefits the St. Baldrick’s Foundation’s Mission to Conquer Childhood Cancers

Sugar Grove, IL (January 29, 2012) – Votre Vu, a luxury skin care company offering the finest French-made skin care formulations and handcrafted cosmetics, is excited to announce it has raised more than $25,000 through its “Color it Forward” program to benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a volunteer-driven and donor-centered charity dedicated to raising money for childhood cancer research.

Votre Vu first announced the “Color it Forward” initiative June 24, 2012 at its annual La Fête sales symposium, which kicked off a month-long tour aboard Votre Vu’s mobile Airstream beauty bar, with stops along the way from Chicago to Los Angeles to showcase Votre Vu’s new French Accents color line and the company’s Color it Forward quest. Specifically, Votre Vu committed to donate $5,000 for every 5,000 French Accents products sold and send five “pickMEup paks” to support moms of kids in treatment.

The summer Color it Forward tour wrapped up at the 46 Mommas’ Shave for the Brave 2012, a St. Baldrick’s event held in Hollywood, Calif. Inspired by the Mommas’ testimonials, Harold Zimmerman, Votre Vu CEO, shaved his head for the second time and made a $10,000 donation to the Foundation.

“Votre Vu had supported several pediatric cancer charities in the past, but we wanted to do something more and the launch of the new French Accents line provided the perfect opportunity to embark on a partnership with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and the 46 Mommas,” said Votre Vu CEO Harold Zimmerman. “From the day French Accents hit the market last summer, Votre Vu has donated $1 for each makeup product sold from the line. And we are going to keep on doing so for as long as it takes to find a cure.”

In addition, Votre Vu supported the Foundation in September 2012 as part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by challenging Facebook supporters to spread the word – and offering a $1 donation for every new “Like” on Votre Vu’s fan page (up to $1,000). The page reached the 1,000 mark in just six days, and many of the direct selling company’s Brand Ambassadors have continued to spread the word about the Foundation, soliciting donations and holding outside fundraisers to support Votre Vu’s commitment to raising money for childhood cancer research.

By the end of 2012, Votre Vu had donated more than $25,000 to St. Baldrick’s and hopes to raise another $75,000 for the cause in 2013 and $1 million within the next three years. Visit www.votrevu.com to see how your purchase can help toConquer Childhood Cancers.
