When it comes to structured silhouettes and Evening elegance no one rules the runway quite like Zac Posen. Delivering one of New York Fashion Week’s most glamourous collections, Posen’s AW 2015 pieces were both beautiful and breathtaking.
As previously mentioned, one of the defining factors of a Zac Posen creation is usually a structured silhouette, however, for this collection the legendary designer decided to change direction and unveiled creations with much more movement and life. Smiling models quite literally twirled down the runway to bring Posen’s garments to life and the results made for an unforgettable show.
Speaking of his newest collection, Posen stated “I sought ways to shock classical silhouettes into the present day by adopting an opposites attract philosophy….My muses were as disparate as Grace Kelly and Chaka Khan”. He also highlighted the fact that he aimed to retain the mood of romanticism with his Fall 2015 line. As if the collection wasn’t amazing enough in itself, a dramatic entrance in the form of Naomi Campbell took the show by storm. Accompanying Posen down the runway, the legendary
supermodel oozed glamour in a larger than life ruby red ball gown, much to the delight of show attendees! Beaming as he performed the obligatory designer close of show walk, it was obvious that Posen was both ecstatic at how his creations were received and thrilled to be walking the runway
with one of the world’s most iconic supermodels.
