Gisele rocks the runway one last time by Joannah McGuinness
For the past 20 years Brazilian beauty Gisele Bundchen has been the worlds most coveted supermodel. In addition to being privileged enough to walk for pretty much every iconic designer, Gisele was the highest paid supermodel on the planet.
Ending what is undoubtedly every budding models ultimate aspiration Gisele took to the runway one last time for Colcci’s show at Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Brazil to conclude her modelling career.
Speaking of her decision Gisele stated “Automatically my body tells me if what I am doing is worth it…. and it asked me to stop. I respect my body and it is a privilege to be able to stop…stopping will leave room for other projects I have for myself”
After ruling the runway one last time her fellow models walked the final walk sporting t-shirts with the uber successful model’s face on them as a tribute to her prolific career.
Tom Brady was front row to support his wife and tweeted a heartfelt message of support which concluded with the hashtag “#GOAT” which stands for Greatest Of All Time. ”Congrats Love of my life. You inspire me every day to become a better person. I am so proud of you and what you have accomplished on the runway”.
Although we are super sad in the knowledge that we will never see Gisele own the runway again we can be content in the knowledge that her other fashion projects will keep her in the lime light for years to come and we can be assured that anything she puts her name to will be a massive success.
