Free-spirited global travelers who don’t hold back inspired Desigual’s almost 50-look lineup. I always look forward to this show as it usually kicks off NYFW with a fun and lively appeal. This season Desigual did not disappoint! There were flowing maxis in textured fabrics, colorful, barely-there bikinis and livelyseparates to boot. Much of the collection boasted embroidery and embellishment galore, including beaded animals, plant and ethnic motifs. Models wore butterfly-embroidered rompers, adorned denim jackets, vividly colored knits, peasant skirts and tie-dye looks. Even the ever growing popular ‘snapchat’ faces made an appearance in the form of makeup on some of the models’ faces.
