SUPER ROLE MODELS

Written by Joanna McGuinness
It is a well-known fact that trends, no matter how popular, tend to come and go. One thing, however, that will never go out of style is good will. Clearly bearing this in mind whilst brainstorming their latest campaign, Scandinavian fashion brand Lindex have teamed up with Christy Turlington Burns, 47, Liya Kebede, 37, and Toni Garrn, 22, for their new “Super Role Model” campaign.2756D76100000578-0-image-a-1_1428501347780

Christy, alongside Liya and Toni, have been chosen as the campaign ambassadors thanks to their amazing charity and good will work outside of the fashion industry.

“I have learned that it’s what you do, how you do it and what you do with it that really matters” Christy beamed when speaking of her collaboration with Lindex. “I like that this campaign is providing a platform for each of us three women at different stages of our careers who are doing more with our lives than just modelling”275788F700000578-3030639-Lindex_opened_its_first_UK_store_in_Westfield_Stratford_on_March-m-20_1428506580912

Christy also claimed that she liked the fact the campaign pushed across the message that you should never judge a person at first glance, as we each have hidden capacities to do so much more to make the world a better place. It also massively reinforces the fact that it is not only how we look that categorises us as beautiful but also the things that we do.

In addition to the brands latest line, which is more than a little bit amazing, limited addition “#superrolemodel” t-shirts have been made available to help raise money for Christy’s “Every Mother Counts” foundation, Plan international’s “Because I am a girl” charity and The Liya Kebede Foundation.

Lindex have also declared to donate 10 percent of all sales during shopping events to Water Aid to help raise both financial aid and awareness.

Who said fashion doesn’t have a heart!!
