London fashion week is known for it’s groundbreaking designers and out of the box fashion trends. This season was no different. Some trends to keep an eye for when FALL finally rolls around again….
ROYAL BLUE from Topshop Unique to Roksanda Ilincic walked the royal runway.
GEOMETRICS were everywhere. Jonathan Saunders integrated the look with various textures while Christopher Kane just went all out 3 d Origami.
MAXIMALISM is basically complex layering with plenty of textures and eye catching
prints best seen in collections from Temperley and Peter Pilotto.
SLOUCHY maybe even FOLKSY? I just call it dressing like an Olsen twin. While some designers continued to present strong shapes, one of the best trends from London Fashion Week was the unstructured, oversized, off the shoulder look. You can dress slouchy and still look fashionable. Issa, Giles and even Burberry with their monogrammed tossed over shawls marched this style down the runway.
MATCHY MATCHY…yes you can live out your mother’s dream come true…you wearing matching prints! If you thought all these years your mother was crazy think again..she was just ahead of the curve. Matchy matchy was all over the runway in London! Coats matching scarves matching clothes under the coats etc etc. You get the picture. The matchy matchy outfit made a big impression in London with a cool new
twist: layering.
